Belly & Beyond Holistic Wellness (BBHW) is a private, women-led practice that offers holistic and educational services for women and their families. At BBHW, we provide compassionate, accessible, and affordable education & care across Maine & New England—guiding people through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, death, wilderness and end-of-life transitions—in a safe space where every person is seen, heard, and respected for their autonomy.

We envision a future where women and family education & care is reclaimed as a community-rooted practice; where knowledge is shared, support is offered, and care is consensual. BBHW exists to help reshape how families are educated and cared for throughout all stages of life.
BBHW is more than a practice—it's a community built on the belief that everyone deserves access to education, community, and care. We walk alongside individuals and families through life's biggest moments, offering holistic wellness, birth and postpartum care, end-of-life support, community education, and community rooted in connection, respect, and practical knowledge. We believe care was never meant to exist behind closed doors—it belongs in our homes, our communities, and in the relationships we build with one another. Our mission is to educate people with knowledge, confidence, and support so they can make informed decisions and feel cared for through every season of life—from birth to death and everything in between.
BBHW is guided by Chantal, a Certified Women’s Holistic Health Coach & Practitioner, classically trained Midwife, and Wilderness First Responder. Her unique path brings together women’s & family health, traditional midwifery, holistic wellness, and wilderness medicine—creating a whole-person approach to education, care, and community through every season of life. Chantal’s foundation was built through both academic education and hands-on apprenticeship-style learning. Her approach blends evidence-informed education, traditional midwifery, holistic women’s and family health, and more than 9 years of hands-on experience supporting more than 450 families through birth, postpartum, newborn care, wellness, grief, and major life transitions. Her work is rooted in the belief that people deserve compassionate support, trusted education, and the knowledge to feel confident in their own choices. At the heart of Chantal’s work is education, community, and care. She provides holistic wellness, evidence-informed support, and education rooted in informed consent, body literacy, and personalized care. Chantal is not a licensed medical provider and does not diagnose, prescribe or treat medical conditions. Instead, Belly & Beyond focuses on educating individuals and families with knowledge, supportive care, and holistic wellness while honoring Maine’s healthcare regulations.
Belly & Beyond believes strong care is built through connection, communication, and community. We believe no single person or provider holds all the knowledge needed to support a family, which is why we value respectful collaboration and relationships with healthcare, wellness, and community professionals. Our goal is to help create a trusted circle of care where individuals and families feel supported, respected, and empowered through every stage of life. While Belly & Beyond provides holistic education, wellness support, and relationship-centered care—we recognize the importance of collaboration and shared knowledge. We honor both traditional wisdom and modern healthcare resources, believing people are best supported when different forms of experience, education, and care come together with respect, communication, and a shared commitment to the wellbeing of the individual and family.
BBHW has an office/education suite in Jay and home base in Caribou, Maine along with community hubs in Fort Kent, Houlton, Millinocket, Lincoln, Calais, Skowhegan, Augusta, Farmington, Rockland, Brunswick, and Yarmouth. At Belly & Beyond we believe care is not one-size-fits-all. Every person deserves to be truly seen, heard, and respected. We take the time to understand your story, needs, values, and goals. Our approach blends traditional wisdom, evidence-based education, holistic wellness, and practical skills to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Through community connections, collaboration with other professionals, and a commitment to lifelong learning, we help individuals and families build a circle of support that feels aligned and supportive. Belly & Beyond is a community rooted in education and shared knowledge. Our space is welcoming, inclusive, and judgment-free—created for individuals, families, and communities seeking care that feels personal, connected, and human.
Yes. Belly & Beyond honors and supports a variety of birth pathways, recognizing that every family’s journey is unique. We support families choosing home birth, hospital birth, and self-directed/freebirth experiences through education, preparation, emotional support, and relationship-centered guidance. Our role is to walk alongside families without judgment, helping them feel informed, empowered, and connected to their own values, choices, and birth experiences. Our support is rooted in traditional care, evidence-informed education, and community connection. Whether a family chooses to birth at home, in a hospital, or through a self-directed experience, we believe every family deserves education, community, care, and a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood.
Yes. We believe families deserve respectful, individualized support, and evidence-informed education when considering VBAC, breech, or twin births. Each situation is unique, and care is based on your health history, pregnancy, birth goals, and the circumstances of the pregnancy.
We take time to discuss the benefits, risks, options, and considerations involved so you can make informed decisions about your care. When a situation falls outside the scope of safe home-based care or requires a higher level of medical support, we will help you understand your options and coordinate care or transfer when appropriate.
Our goal is not to tell you how you should birth, but to provide knowledgeable, compassionate support while honoring your choices and keeping safety at the center of care.
Yes. Belly & Beyond provides compassionate, relationship-centered support for individuals navigating end-of-life transitions, as well as their families. We support families, offering education, reassurance, and practical guidance so they can be present, connected, and empowered throughout the process. Our “The Veil Between” program provides additional grief and loss support, helping families and individuals navigate their emotions, find healing, and honor their unique journey.

Our goal is to make sure you feel seen, heard, and confident as you begin your wellness journey with us.
At Belly & Beyond, holistic care means supporting the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—through every stage of life. It’s about looking beyond symptoms or situations to understand the full context of a family’s or individual’s needs. It’s rooted in connection, personalized attention, and empowerment, combining evidence-based practices, traditional wisdom, and hands-on guidance.
For us, holistic care is about meeting you where you are, honoring your experiences, and creating an environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported—not just for a single appointment, but throughout your journey.
